Joy La Prade, the journalist who writes for the Easton, MD, Star Democrat
and its Sunday Star, told me she found a roadkill Common Moorhen on May 2
"several miles east of Oxford" on Rt. 333. She gave a very good
description. This is interesting to me since I've hardly ever seen or
heard moorhens in this county. I'd expect them to be on the upper Choptank
River or the Easton Wastewater Treatment Plant rather than in the Oxford
area.

Best to all.-Henry ("Harry") T. Armistead, 523 E. Durham St., Philadelphia,
