Highlights from Wednesday 5/17 at Little Bennett  (Beaver  Valley and Stony 
Brook  trails): 
NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH (1, singing  and foraging along creek) 
BLACKPOLL WARBLER (3, all heard-only) 
Eastern Wood-Pewee (1, first of the year for me) 
Great Crested Flycatcher (1, another first of the year for me) 
Acadian Flycatcher (2) 
Indigo Bunting (1, heard-only) 
Scarlet Tanager (1, heard-only) 
Black-and-White Warbler (1) 
Louisiana  Waterthrush (2) 
Yellow Warbler (1, heard-only) 
Northern Parula (2+,  heard-only) 
Prairie Warbler (1, heard-only) 
… as well as plenty of Ovenbirds, Common Yellowthroats, Wood Thrushes,  etc. 
Four crows were mobbing what appeared to be a Red-shouldered  Hawk.
