For the record, I'd like to advise the MDOsprey membership of a record of
the Eurasian Collared-Dove for Maryland (about our fifth or so).  Unlike
some of the recent reports of Ringed Turtle-Dove here as of late, a check of
the photos at the hyperlink below will make obvious this one was the real
deal.

 

Due to landowner concerns it was not possible to release info on this bird
at the time.  For the record it was present at a bird feeder in Worcester
County from 19 Apr to 03 May 2006.
