This year we had two new "suet feeder" species -- Brown Creeper and Pine Warbler.

At my old house, I had Ovenbirds (!) under the feeder every spring -- searching in the seed hull litter for insects, I assume -- my mother (who could see the feeder out the kitchen window) would say, "oh, that little brown bird that walks around is back!" The feeder was adjacent to woods and in a damp, shady spot.

The best bird I ever had at a feeder was a Dickcissel (all winter many years ago) in Wheaton, coming in with House Sparrows (and a green Parakeet).
