For our ornithologist/scientist members, or anyone else - like me -
interested, there is an excellent article in the May 29th New Yorker
titled "Ruffled Feathers: Uncovering the biggest scandal in the bird
world" by John Seabrook beginning on page 50. The scandal was
uncovered by Pamela Rasmussen while researching her "monumental" new
work, "Birds of South Asia: The Ripley Guide." Pamela Rasmussen is
now an assistant professor at Michigan State University.
