At 8AM on Saturday 2 adult Snowy Egrets landed in the rapids at Violette's
Lock, Montgomery County. They flew in from downriver, loitered for 10 minutes,
then headed back downriver. I have never seen them here in June.

A Least Sandpiper was also present.

The Common Merganser family is down to six chicks, now about 2/3 adult size.
