Bob Augustine informs me that he checked the nest yesterday and found five
young birds, not two, as recently suggested. So the family seems to be
thriving. The site is off Cedar Lane at the confluence of Elmhirst Parkway and
Broad Brook Drive in Bethesda. A trail leads toward the Beltway and Rock Creek,
and the Yellow-crowned Night-Heron nest.
