A Baltimore Oriole, apparently a juvenile, came to our tubular window feeder, perching on the ring in front of the lower tube, and drank for a bit yesterday morning. It had check out the sunflower feeder first, then a vertically hanging hummingbird feeder nearby, before selecting the window tube. This morning, a Baltimore Oriole juvenile visited the feeder again, but didn't stay and feed. I had been wondering why those tube feeders had been emptying so quickly of late. While we have had a couple males and at least one female Ruby-throated Hummingbirds come to the feeders, they don't seem to visit the tubular feeders as often as the others, and I was puzzled about it all.
Good birding,
