The 2006 MOS convention held at Rocky Gap in Allegany County was a smashing
success, with a whopping 262 attendees and diverse county representation.
The Count was also well represented by the YMOS, Youth Division of the MOS.
Highlights include 24 species of warblers (including Blackburnian,
Chestnut-side and Canada), Rusty Blackbird!, and virtually all of the
Western Maryland specialties: Raven, Black-capped Chickadee, Golden-crowned
Kinglet, Sharp-shinned Hawk, Hermit Thrush, Bobolink ...
A more complete tally of the results can be found by visiting the MOS
website.

Thanks to Janet Shields, J.B. Churchill, Bob Ringler and many, many others
for such a well planned, exhilarating weekend of birds and fun.
Good birding!
