Subject: Poplar Island Sightings from June 21, 2006

            This report is submitted on behalf of Jan Reese of Talbot
County, who continues to periodically survey the flora and fauna of Poplar
Island. 

            These sightings include the birds seen on June 21, 2006.  Some
of the birds were seen from the boat during the trip from Tilghman Island
and back. 
		Weather:  Cloudy & hazy am, Partly cloudy pm ,  Temp range
77-90 degrees F

Note:  23 June 06 - Jan mentioned that Corps of Engineers staff photographed
a Black Skimmer on Poplar Island on 15 June, and several personnel on the
island attest to seeing Avocets out there daily for the past two weeks.
