I recently had a very good experience with the Swarovski North America (SONA) repair center in Rhode Island. The focus knob on my Khales 8x42 kept coming loose and needed to be repaired. Khales is a subsidiary of Swarovski and is known mainly as a military/hunting optics company but it also has a nice line of binoculars that are less expensive than Swarovski but with better optics than most mid-range. Eagle Optics, where I purchased them, defines them as the top of the middle range. Anyway, SONA said it would take 3 to 4 weeks to repair the binoculars but it actually had them back in my hands in just a week and a half. In short, it might be worth waiting for your Swarovskis unless you have a major trip planned. To save time, FEDEX them to SONA. This SONA repair outfit is incredibly efficient. You get a tracking number immediately and you can call at any time to see where your binoculars are in the pipeline.
