Sorry for the late notice. I have been so busy I really haven’t been
birding too much at all. On Saturday, I took a quick drive down Old
Telegraph Road out side of Chesapeake City/ Warwick area. I did have two
different Dickcissel’s singing. It was with in a ¼ of a mile from the spot
last year. Just about ¼ mile on the left, from the intersection of Middle
Neck Road and Old Telegraph Road. There is a sign on the left of South
bound Telegraph that says Fulton Hills, another new development that is
getting ready to go in. Both of them were singing all over the field and
tree tops right behind the sign.
Also some of the fields in the same area had 50 Cattle Egrets , 1 Fly by
Little-blue Heron, Grasshopper Sparrows, Horned Larks and many Field
Sparrows.
