Hello everyone,
Well, not quite as exciting as last Sunday, but still some good birds were present. The best is the Sora along Oak Grove Rd (MD) that is still present. It called both on its own and in response to the tape (only once, I didn't badger it). 3 Upland Sandpipers were also in the same area with 2 in the wheat stubble on the north side of the road and 1 on the south. These were very difficult to follow through the stubble as they disappeared when the leaned over in normal feeding posture. They were visible only when they stood erect or happened to be in an open spot. I found and lost them multiple times. If you want to search for Caroline Co. Uppies, I would suggest coming soon as the soybeans have sprouted and it will quickly be losing its bare field qualities. Beyond this, no shorebirds were present, save Killdeer, and no waders have been here since Thursday.
The heat and humidity limited the rest of my outing to checking the back of my farm and the adjacent field. Most of the puddles have dried and there were no shorebirds present. There were 1 Great Egret and 2 GBH here. Among the very few singing birds was one Summer Tanager. This was new for the year, mainly because I normally get them in June but I spent all of my June birding time atlasing elsewhere this year.

Good Birding,
Glen Lovelace III
