Hi everyone,
I took a trip to a nearby OT state a week or so back (a place that rhymes with Zigantine) and saw a couple of birds I couldn't identify. I got some long distance photos, which are available here:

I am guessing it is some kind of plover, based on its size and shape and bill. The last photo shows it to be larger than a peep. It looked to be about the same size as a common tern. Could it be a sanderling? The birds just sat there while I watched, so I couldn't get more detailed eyeball views than I got through the camera.
Can anyone help me figure out what this is?
Thanks in advance,
