Zach Baer and I birded the Eastern Shore Wednesday evening and most of yesterday. I would have posted last night, but we lost power here. On Wednesday, we didn't find much of interest. Hurlock STP was closed on both sides which was a big disappointment. We chased the Piping Plover at Roaring Point, but people were walking on the beach and flushed all the bird right as we arrived. We found an adult male Surf Scoter, but couldn't find the reported Black Scoter.
