I was finally able to get out of Oxford this morning and chase the Ruff that
Matt and Zach found a couple days ago at Pemberton along Rt. 309 in Queen
Anne County. It wasn't there. Along the way I checked the Spring and
Llandaff Rd. impoundments and the Pickering Creek impoundments in Talbot
County. Everywhere the water was extrememly high not allowing good habitat
for shorebirds. Pemberton was the only area that actually had shorebirds
(Solitarys, Yellowlegs, and peeps). There did seem to be good numbers of
Field and Grasshopper Sparrows at most stops and I saw a Yellow Warbler at
Pickering.
