It was on the safflower feeder when I first saw it, but I didn't notice
it eating. It did stop at least twice at the birdbath for water. I
suspect the sprinkler running on some shrubs may have been the
attraction to our yard. Interestingly, it disappeared when I turned off
the water from the basement.
Many yr ago (probably +10) there was a Monk Parakeet at the Beltsville
Research Center, but so far as I know, it has not been seen there since.
I was a bit surprised that the parakeet seemed unconcerned when the
dove, Downy Woodpecker, hummer, and Bluejay sat on nearby limbs in the
same tree.
