Dear Ospreyers,

It's time to get out there and practice your flycatcher identification. A walk around Patterson Park in Baltimore this morning yielded quite a lot of flycatchers and a few warblers too. All are migrants (Eastern Kingbird is the only flycatcher to nest in the park).

I also saw an interesting looking bat, which I first noticed because it was disturbed from a tree by the Cooper's hawk fight with a couple of crows. The bat flushed and flew for about 200m in the open before disappearing behind some trees. It was fairly large and was a rich golden buff colour on the body. The colour seemed unusual for a bat - any ideas on species?

Migrants seen this morning were:
Least Flycatcher	3
Great-crested Flycatcher	2
Eastern Wood-pewee	2
Traill's Flycatcher	1
Cooper's hawk	1
American Kestrel	1
Black-and-White Warbler	1
Magnolia Warbler	1
Yellow Warbler	4
Gray Catbird	1
