I did a river watch off Dyke Marsh, Fairfax Co, VA today.  Below are some highlights that also pertain to your waters:

2:25 PM - Adult SOOTY TERN observed flying upriver.  It flew over to investigate the SAV briefly off the stone bridge of Dyke Marsh and continued upriver under the Wilson Bridge.  

3:15 PM - WILSON'S STORM-PETREL offered extended views as it coursed back and forth across the river, then heading under bridge upriver.
