This morning's rain at Sandy Point State Park produced two temporary ponds on the beach and provided bathing oportunities for many gulls and a few shorebirds, though mostly Greater Black-backed Gulls(230) and Ring-billed Gulls(140).  In additon,  there on the beach taking advantage both the weather and the solitude were the following:

Herring Gulls (12)
Laughing Gulls (8)
Great Blue Heron (1)
Snowy Egret (1)
Saundering (1)
Semi-palmated Sandpipers (3)
Pectoral Sandpiper (1)
