Hi Everyone,

I spent the day in Western MD, trying to find some of the birds seen last weekend, but also to just get out and enjoy a day of birding.

Piney - No shorebirds except for Killdeer.

Finzel - Olive-sided Flycatcher, Lincoln's Sparrow, (2) Baltimore Orioles, RB Grosbeak, Tenn. & BT Green Warbler, Redstarts and a Chestnut-sided.

Yough. Res. - Buff-breasted Sandpiper, seen twice with Killdeer, the last time within a hundred yards of the parking area on Old Morgantown Road. 2 Pecs, 2 Lesser Yellowlegs, Least Sandpiper, semi-sandpiper and maybe one Bairds.

Trout Run WWTP - Shoveler

Broadford Res - Great Egret

Big Run State Park - Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, Purple Finch.

PPG ponds - most of what Mikey L. saw, though I missed on the turnstone. Bonus bird was a Mourning Warbler right before the spray fields on the left.

Beaver Creek wetlands - 4 Lesser Yellowlegs and 2 Solitary Sp.

Regards,

Dave Powell
