Meadowbrook used to also be reliable for White-crowned Sparrows in the
winter. The hill above the
swampy area where they could be pished up with relative ease is now ball
fields and parking lots.
Nevertheless, I did find one adult White-crowned there last December.
Note that the park and ride lot tends to get quite full on nice days, used
by people utilizing the play
ground.
In the unlikely event you contemplate parking there over night, be sure to
park under a
lighted pole. I left mine there a month or two back, parked under a
non-functioning one, and
my car was broken into.
And that beer WAS good!
