Observations at Hart-Miller Island
September 9, 2006
0710 - 1700
Weather: AM: sunny 77 degrees, ESE 1 K; PM: sunny, 83 degrees, ESE 2 K

There were two separate survey groups (ornithology and entomology) on
Hart-Miller Island on Saturday, September 9, 2006.

Bird Observers: Greg Butcher, Pat Caro, Dennis Coskren, Chuck Finley,
Barbara Gearhart, Jim Green, Gene Scarpulla (part-time), Robin Todd
(part-time), Ana Urciolo, Marcia Watson, Mike Welch

[Special thanks go to Marcia Watson for leading the birding group and
tallying the bird data while I was hosting my fellow members of the Maryland
Entomological Society on a collecting field trip on Hart-Miller Island.
Several new insect species were added to the Island list while in the field;
more will be added after laboratory examination. Preliminary findings have
yielded at least one highly significant insect record for the State.]

Maryland Entomological Society Observers: John Carroll, Pat Durkin, Timothy
Ford, Phil Kean, Richard Orr, Peter Osenton, Fred Paras, Matthew Roth, Rob
Roth, Gene Scarpulla, Dick Smith, Robin Todd
