Yesterday, I observed 2 immature house finches 'begging' for food.  Momma 
flew to the bird feeder, picked up a sunflower seed, flew back to the 
little beggers, broke open the seed and fed it to one of its little ones.  
This seems a bit late for hatching a brood or is it just a case of a Momma 
who can't let the kids go?
