Today we found a WILSON'S SNIPE and a flyover GREAT EGRET. A single SAVANNAH among the increasing SONG SPARROWS.
On a literary note I read a review of Jonathan Franzen's new memoir. It appears he has discovered birding. "By 2005, you see, Franzen is in the grip of an ornithological frenzy. He spends his waking hours with binoculars in one hand and a dog-eared field guide in the other, observing birds."
A bit odd behavior there?
Can't wait to read the book!
