Greetings,

Pat Valdata and I spent a few hours at the Turkey Point Hawk Watch this
morning. There were plenty of birds around though not a lot to be seen in
the way of migrant warblers. Highlights included a few Black and White
Warblers, Magnolia Warblers, Red-eyed Vireo, Catbird, Least Flycatcher,
empid sp., RED-HEADED WOODPECKER(3), Northern Flicker (20+), Thousands of
Blue Jays (thier back), a handful of Tree Swallows, Chimney Swift (1),
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (2), and my first of the year Ruby-crowned
Kinglet (1 maybe 2).

The hawk-watching was rather slow, as expected with such strong southerly
winds. Pat has the totals but I know that in just over two hours there
were fewer then twenty birds, most being Sharp-shinned Hawks with a few
Ospreys added in. Plenty of resident Eagles present as well...

Good Birding,
