Lisa, my 14-year-old son Adam and I birded Ft Smallwoood Park,
AA County on Sunday morning September 24.
After 45 minutes, looked like it was going to be a bust. Then,
as so often happens, our luck turned at the last minute.
First was a LITTLE BLUE HERON feeding on the edge of the central
pond. A few minutes later a few passerines were seen flitting in a tree.
We pished in a bunch more, to include:

	_ Blackburnian Warbler, fall plumage.
	_ Black-and-White Warbler.
_ American Redstart, female or immature.
	_ Black-Throated Green Warbler (possibly 2)
	_ Red-Eyed Vireo (as many as 3)

Also had a handful of Pine Warblers in a grove of pines, plus
more Blue Jays than we could count. Lisa had an early White-Throated
Sparrow.

	Good Birding!
