Jane and I were in Gaithersburg on Saturday, 9/23, for my father's 86th
birthday. Since we were close, we went up to Frederick to see if we
could find the Eurasian Collared Dove. We knew our chances were not good
as the timing was when most people had missed it. Anyway, we were there
for several hours before we had to leave to get back for the party at 3.
While we were there, we did not see or near the bird though the woman at
Stadler's Nursery said that it had been perched in the dead branches of
the large tree just to the west or north of the nursery first thing in
the morning.

So, the bird lingers. Maybe it'll stick around for the CBC?
