With all this talk of gardening for wildlife, just thought I'd post some
events where you can pick up wildlife-friendly plants and trees. Fall is
the best time to plant shrubs and trees. I'll bet there will be Pokeberry
for sale at at least one of them..

The selection of native trees and shrubs at MD Natives nursery is worth a
drive. Note: They are only open to the public on certain days. They have
lots of species and lots of sizes to accommodate any budget.

September 23 Maryland Natives Nursery Open to the Public 9 - 3

Directions are available at http://www.americannativeplants.net/ then click
on "retail program". Google Maryland Natives Nursery for more info/contact
info if you have a problem with this URL.

September 24  Ladew Topiary Garden native Plant Sale  11 - 4  ; I believe
there is an admission fee for this, go to
http://www.ladewgardens.com/index2.html for more info, google if you have a
problem with the URL.

September 30 Park Fairfax Native Plant Sale 9-2; for those who live
closer to DC.  3601 Valley Drive Alexandria, Virginia 22302;
http://home.earthlink.net/~sknudsen/        for more info.
