Hi all --

Slow today at Rock Creek Park DC, the wind turning to the south and bringing clouds -- the migrants of the day before having moved off in great part (only one or two Yellowthroats in the Maintenance Yard, for example) but we were treated to another (!) PHILADELPHIA VIREO (in the yard). There were fewer Robins, Flickers and Catbirds but they are still moving through. Most abundant neotropical migrants was Scarlet Tanager. We started at the Ridge and also did the Yard and Military Field.

Warblers: Black-and-White (1), "Baypoll" (1), Black-throated Green (2), Black-throated Blue (1, heard only), Chestnut-sided (1), Magnolia (5-6), Redstart (4), Ovenbird (1), Parula (1), TENNESSEE (1), Yellowthroat (6).

Other migrants: Phoebe (1), Wood-pewee (2), Cedar Waxwing (5-6 fly-over), Scarlet Tanager (~15), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (8), Baltimore Oriole (2), Swainson's Thrush (1), Red-eyed Vireo (8), Philadelphia Vireo (1), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (5), House Wren (4), Ruby-throated Hummingbird (1).

We stopped at Woodend on the drive home and the several birders there had not seen the Connecticut Warbler. Gave it a few minutes and also, nada, but we did see another Chestnut and two YTs.
