Cromwell Valley Park HawkWatch -  Thursday Sept. 21st 2006

Between 8:00am and noon the flight was rather slow with only 18 Broad-winged Hawks and a few 
Sharpies, Kestrals and Osprey seen.  As more clouds began to form the flight picked up gradually.  
Overhead was a near perfect mix of clouds and blue sky, just right for spotting these high flyers. 
As the largest clouds would pass overhead we had to scan carefully to find our BWs. Two groups 
of more than 200 BWs each were seen at about 3:30pm. Five juvenile and one adult Bald Eagles 
were counted from noon to 2:00pm.
