Tuckahoe State Park 10 - 7

Hi  all the Caroline County  had a bird walk for  beginers  at Tuckahoe 
state  Park on  Sat   Oct 7, 06
  however only the two leaders showed up Debbie Bennett and Danny Poet  .  
It was a tough birding day   very windy  , cool,  cloudy  but   no  showers  
from  8:00 am till 12: 00 though .  We did not have lots of birds  but did 
manage some nice finds

Canada Geese    50
Mallard      heard only
Wood Duck     6
Great Blue Heron      2
Red Shouldered  Hawk    1 heard    latter after Debby left  I saw one on the 
QA  county side of the lake

Bald Eagle     1  adult on the    QA side of the lake  after  Debby Left
Yellow Bellied  Sapsucker     1      first of the season for me
Downy    1
Hairy      1
Flicker    1
Red Bellied Woodpecker   2
WINTER WREN       1      good look   first of the season
Carolina Wren       several
Robin     1
Eastern Bluebird       2
Swainson  Thrush      1           two other thrush species seen very quickly 
but not enough to ID
Black Throated Blue Warbler    1      male    seen hovering in front of  web 
  extracting insects to eat
Yellow     Rumped    Warbler      6     after Debby  left  QA side of the 
lake
Chipping Sparrow      12
