Visited Meadowbrook Park in Howard County for the first time on Columbus
Day. What a beautiful park! I parked in the lot next to the athletic fields and
picnic pavillion (not the tot lot entrance). There is a paved trail that begins at
that entrance. I saw the Black-throated Green Warbler in the first clump of
trees next to the road from that start point. Just beyond Field #2, there is
nice habitat for birds. I spent most of my time at the bottom of the little hill
and to the right on the shaded part of the trail. It was very active. Eventually,
I followed the trail around the wetlands and found myself behind the tennis
courts, another very active spot.
