I heard a loud bang against the front window - odd place. I started to go out the front door when I noticed a thrust sitting on the stoop. It wasn't a Wood or Hermit Thrush, so I got out the bird book & really started to look at the bird. It was a Gray-Cheeked Thrush! This was one of those birds that I had been looking for in MD for a long time. Every time I was out & saw a thrush, I really looked at it to get a good ID on it in hopes of turning it into a Gray-cheeked (or even better, a Bicknell's).

Good news, the bird was only stunned by it's encounter with the screened window. It recovered and flew away.
