An Orange-crowned Warbler was at the Elkhorn Garden Plots along Oakland
Mills Road in Columbia on October 7 in the late afternoon. There were large
numbers of birds here and at Meadowbrook Park in Ellicott City during the
cloudy, and at times, wet weather. Other highlights were a Merlin flying
rapidly south overhead at the garden plots, and Lincoln's and White-crowned
Sparrows at both Meadowbrook and the garden plots. Also at Meadowbrook,
Chestnut-sided, Black-throated Green, and Nashville Warblers were seen along
with 2 male Wood Ducks.
