Dear All

In contrast to recent morning where it has been quiet but with the odd good
bird, there were lots of birds today but nothing of great note. A very pleasant
morning with plenty to look at and the good company of the Maintenance Yard
birders 'college'.

As is often the case the first bird of the day for me was one of the best - a
cracking adult male Black-throated Blue Warbler showing really well by the
stables started the day with promise aplenty. The stables and 'yard were
both very birdy - few warblers but plenty to look at nonetheless:

Warblers: Blackpoll (1 stables), Magnolia (1), Yellowthroat (2), Black-throated
Blue (1), Yellow-rumped (6).

Other migrants: Harrier (1), Sharp shin (1), Coopers Hawk (2), Sapsucker (1),
Flicker (10), Blue-headed Vireo (2), Red-eyed Vireo (1), Rose-breasted
Grosbeak (1), Swainson's Thrush (2), Thrasher (1), Catbird (3), Cedar
Waxwing (5), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (~20), Golden-crowned Kinglet (2), White-
throated Sparrow (~25), Song Sparrow (~10), Field Sparrow (4), Chipping
Sparrow (8), Swamp Sparrow (1) and Junco (6).

Lots of Robins dropping in to the yard, a few Jays plus one Hairy Woodpecker
by the car park rounded off the morning nicely.
