Sorry to be a stickler, but the B-17 was called "Flying Fortress." A
Stratofortress is the B-52.
There are still a few B-17s extant (one turns up regularly the first weekend
in June in Reading, PA),
but the population of B-52s is MUCH larger.

It was a beautiful morning at Blue Mash. I saw a total of 25 species. The
highlights of the day were a beautiful look at a Savannah Sparrow and a B-17
Stratofortress which crossed the area at 9:45, undoubtedly headed for the
dedication of the Air Force memorial.
