Hi All,

I dropped by Great Oak Pd. this afternoon (Sat 14 Oct) between 2:15 and
3:15 PM. During that time we were joined for awhile by John Hubbell.
There were four ROSS'S GEESE amongst the 1200 Snow Geese, as well as 18
"blue" geese. These included one juvenile feeding on the dike at the
east end of the pond, and three swimming adults, two of them a pair. I
also saw a bird that appeared to be a Ross'sXSnow hybrid. There was at
least one RICHARDSON'S CACKLING GOOSE with the 2000 Canada Geese. Also
present on the pond were 2 Lesser Yellowlegs, 40 Tree Swallows, at least
one rough-winged swallow, the Canvasback, a Lesser Scaup, Green-winged
Teal, and the number of Ruddy Ducks has risen to 75.

Good birding,
