Hi all,
Went out of town today w/ job interview with my
dad's rental car. I was a bit late accept Matt's
invitation for sparrow watch in southern Harford
County yesterday. Not as many as I hoped for at
Perryman but a nice variety. Biggest surprise at Swan
Harbor was a Peregrine came out of nowhere and caught
the snipe off the ground before he took flight and
dined on it at the top of telephone pole.
Didn't see the bittern until the ducks spooked by
the eagle and settle in quickly. Only its head show
through cattails. The bittern was found along NE side
of the impoundment.
Weather not as bad but a bit foggy at Swan Harbor
Farm.
