Stopped along Rumbly Point Road at a likely spot and spished, which flushed
up a number of swamp sparrows. Thinking there might be more to it, I gave
a screech owl whistle and up popped a flock of sharp-tailed sparrows. At
one point, there were 2 saltmarsh and 1 Nelson's in my binoculars at the
same time. Tried to find a Leconte's in the group, but no luck. I was on
Rumbly Point Rd the evening before and there were about 7X more yellowlegs,
black-bellied and semipalmated plovers, and 3 dowitchers (sp? - back lit by
the setting sun).
