Greetings,

While "working" today at the Aberdeen Proving Ground I took some time to
check what was floating and flying around Spesutie Island. I found good
numbers of passerines, ducks, geese, and swans (good is a relative term with
the swan). Notables include: loads of Myrtle Warblers on the island, a
handsome (eastern) Palm Warbler, Hermit Thrush, Meadowlark, Coot, Pied-
billed Grebe, Forster's Tern, and Lesser Yellowlegs. Decent numbers of
sparrows where seen also, though not much effort was given to finding or
ID'ing these. The sparrows seen included Savannah, Swamp, White-throated,
Song, Junco, and Towhee. Waterfowl included: Mute Swan (29), Canada
Goose, Mallard, Black Duck, Gadwall, A. Wigeon, Ruddy Duck, Ring-necked
Duck, Lesser Scaup, and Northern Shoveler.

Good Birding,
