Lots of waterfowl at Lake Artemisia today on this beautiful fall morning. one male bufflehead, a dozen ring-necked ducks, 50-60 ruddy ducks, two dozen American coots, a dozen pied-billed grebes, six Mallards, and over 200 Canada geese. Also, both kinglets, 5 yellow palm warblers, lots of white-throated sparrows, a small flock of juncos, and the first hermit thrush I've seen this fall. Surprisingly, no yellow rumps were spotted.
