Dear All

Unsurprisingly bearing in the change in weather there have been birds moving
this morning in DC. I saw a couple of groups of Turkey Vultures spiralling over
on my way to the Van Ness metor and a single hawk, which proved to be a
Broad-wing to my great surprise (I see that there was one yesetrday from one
of the hawkwatches).

On arriving in central DC and striding up Connecticut Avenue I was treated to
a flyover by a 'V' of about 45 Tundra Swans coming the opposite direction SE
down the avenue at a great height. Absolutely beautiful in the angled morning
light. A quick sprint up the street also ensured that it was an excellent
addition to the Audubon office list.

Subsequently there has been American Kestrel, more TVs and about 6 unid
hawks, all probably Red-tails from the office window.

Beautiful day...

Gary
