Just a bit of additional information about Tuesday's martin attempt.

Mark had to leave around 1000 for a meeting. I had arrived shortly after
0700 and Mark and his coworker were already there. At about 1000, Sam
Dyke arrived and drove down the gravel road to the derelict house
between the Assateague Visitor Center and the Rum Pointe club house. At
that time, I drove down the island in search of any swallows, etc. I
didn't see any. I drove down to South Point several times and stopped at
both golf courses and drove through the development at the south end.
Finally, I bailed around 1320. in the 6 hours that I was there, I only
saw about 20 Tree Swallows and most of those were before 1000. At least
the weather was nice!
