Hi all,
Saw a my first vesper sparrow this morning (Monday Nov 6th) while walking my
dogs around my pasture.
It was in some weeds inbetween the fence row of my land and the neighbor's
land. When I went back about 45 minutes later to try to find it again and
maybe see if it would show up on my cell phone camera it was gone. It
looked just like the bird in the James Rising book on Sparrows picture 24.1
except I did not see the white ear-covet spot. Very definite white eye ring
and whitish submoustachial stripes. Did not see the white outer tail
feathers since I did not see it in flight.
