Hi all --

Did some DC birding today -- starting at Rock Creek which was very quiet, Maintenance Yard DEAD but some activity around Stable and Military Field.

Brown Thrasher (1), Phoebe (1), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (1), Winter Wren (1) plus a few (very few) White-throated Sparrows and the "usual suspects"

Then to Hains Point where, like Warren Strobel, we dipped on the Brant but did see some other birds:

Bald Eagle (2), Hermit Thrush (3), Palm Warbler (1, yellow), Golden-crowned Kinglet (3), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (2-3), plus a scattering of W-T Sparrows. No Merlin today.

Rather slow but a nice day to be out and about!
