The Talbot Bird Club visit to Horn Point on Nov 19th brought out fourteen
birders. Shirley Bailey led the group along many well-manicured trails
through varied habitat that included Choptank River shoreline, hedgerows and
woodland edges, and boardwalks across marsh land. Fifty-five species of
birds were seen or heard, with the clear highlight being a winter-plumage
Baltimore Oriole.

Snow Goose (large, high flock that included some Blue Phase)
Black Duck
Surf Scoter
Bald Eagle
Hawks - Cooper's, Red-shouldered, Red-tailed
Belted Kingfisher

RC Kinglet
Eastern Bluebird
Hermit Thrush (several)
American Robin (hundreds)
Gray Catbird
American Pipit
Cedar Waxwing (several hundred, with many splendid views of them)
Myrtle Warbler
Sparrows - Chipping Sparrow (over a dozen), Field, Song, White-throated,
Junco, Towhee
House Finch
American Goldfinch
Following the walk, many of the participants enjoyed breakfast at the
Cambridge Diner.
