Hello fellow birders,

While reading the various thread about hunting on Sunday, and the things birders have encountered, I felt compelled to write. While birding back in the woods in several areas of Rock Creek Park, Rockville I have seen one person sitting 40ft up in a pine tree, during a weekday morning, during the deer rut. I saw a dark shape in the tree and thought it was an owl. Gee, I wonder what that person was doing?!
From time to time I find makeshift tree stands in heavy wooded areas.
Occasionally, I find crossbow arrows in bushes, along Beach Drive.

At Blue Mash, I was walking the footpath around the north side of the landfill, and looked up to find a tree stand, not far from the property boundary.

Birders, please use caution during this time of year, you never know who/what you will run into.
