Directions to the location of the Red-headed Woodpecker(s?) at Hughes Hollow: 

Cross the pond on the dike (the dike with the sign) and look at the first grove of trees on the left. Look particularly at the dead trees. Because of all the Sapsuckers and other WPs, it's possible to have a Big Woodpecker day at Hughes Hollow. I met someone attempting one but as of 4 pm, he still did not have a Pileated.

PS The area is muddy if you continue towards the Potomac in search of other birds so wear waterproof boots.

PPS Also, blaze orange might not be a bad idea during the week because I saw evidence of hunting (shotgun shells).
