Hi,

I spent yesterday, 12/10/06, exploring a few spots with Bill Hubick,
concentrating primarily on Waterfowl. We started in PG county at
Schoolhouse Pond and worked our way south to Charles County. We finished
the day at Allen's Fresh hoping that a Short-eared Owl would join the
Harriers that were hunting over the marsh. We did not see any owls, but we
believe that we heard some coyotes howling as we watched a nice sunset. A
beautiful place - if only we could do something to get away from the
traffic noise! The best bird of the day was probably a Red-throated Loon
off of Cobb Island. Another great day to be alive!
